Happy December! In honor of the season of giving, we spent the week pouring over cause-based Spark projects and offering best practices in non-profit and activist content marketing. From socially minded small businesses to independent activists and storytellers to global non-profits, this week’s round-up of impactful, artfully done Sparks showcase the change agents and meaning-makers in our community who remind us daily that mission-focused marketing is the best kind of marketing. Take a look at the inspiring causes you may want to get behind.
Social Media Moment of the Week: #GivingTuesday
#GivingTuesday is an annual global day of charitable giving powered by social media. Non-profits and change-makers aren’t the only groups to get in on the action. A small tote bag company based in San Francisco, for instance, skipped the preceding promotional days and instead gave socially minded shoppers an even better excuse to buy from the small purveyor.
#GivingTuesday celebrates generosity by providing people everywhere with an opportunity to give more, give smarter, and give great. Aplat is a small start-up but we want to do great things. Tonight the small batch of limited edition denim is on sale. Own an àplat made with rescued surplus denim AND support a non-profit. We will donate 100% of our proceeds from your purchase today. Thanks for shopping to help the environment and communities who need help.
See how others in the Spark community celebrated #GivingTuesday.
